Chemistry.com is a dating site sprinkled with science. The chemistry-inspired matching system is really inspired and offers members an innovative sign-up experience. If you are serious about analysis, research and the science that goes in to finding love then this is the site for you. You even get a free personality insight from a leading Professor of anthropology. It's not all serious stuff, however, there are flirting mini games and a First Meet feature for help on cool venues for your date.

The matching algorithm and personality test was developed by Dr. Helen Fisher, a professor of anthropology and expert on the biology of love and romance. It's success rate has been featured on TV programmes such as Good Morning America.
The Bad
Chemistry.com does not let you search for potential dates as they have made it their aim to send the perfect match to you. They also try and get you to subscribe before checking the site out for yourself.

Creating your profile
When signing up you are asked a few quirky questions that are different to all of the other dating websites. In order to find out your personality traits they ask things like 'Are you one to follow the rules?' Or 'Do you think you are sensitive?' After the personality tests they then ask you the typical demographic questions and a series of questions about what your perfect match would look like. As these are all multiple choice the last section allows you to describe yourself in your own words. Although it takes a while to carry all these out it seems they really are going to the next level to find out everything about you in order to find a suitable match.
Finding your match
Chemistry.com has no option to search other members. However the matches they think you would like are presented to you on a daily basis - so there's no shortage of options. Its then your job to put them into categories of which ones you are interested in and which ones your not. If you change your mind you can go back and put them into a different category later.
Connecting with members
Although there is no search engine there are many other ways to connect with people once you have subscribed. Here's list:
- Communicate with your matches immediately using the dedicated email service.
- View 'my connections' to check out updates to the profiles of members you have interacted with, met or been matched with.
- Check out who's 'noticed you' and look at their complete profiles.
